Monovision is a technique where one eye is corrected for distance vision and the other for near vision. Your brain learns to use each eye for different tasks. Education and Distinctions
Dr. Ayman Boutros is a board-certified refractive, cataract, and cornea surgeon and the Founder and Medical Director of The Eye Center, which he established in 1989. He earned his medical degree at SUNY Downstate (1985) and completed his ophthalmology residency at Nassau University Medical Center. As lead refractive surgeon since 1989, he has personally performed more than 40,000 vision correction procedures, refining a proprietary treatment nomogram that supports an enhancement rate below 1.5%. He was among the first surgeons in the world to offer iDesign 2.0, and is a national lecturer, presenter, and panelist.
