Dr. Pearlman graduated summa cum laude from Widener University with a bachelor's degree in biology, then continued at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where he earned an additional bachelor's degree and his Doctor of Optometry with clinical honors. His clinical training included internships at the Philadelphia Naval Hospital, Lankenau Hospital, and Wilmington Omni Eye Services, building broad exposure to hospital-based and primary eye care. He then completed a residency in ocular disease at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia, rounding out a training pathway that has since supported more than three decades of clinical practice.

Dr. Pearlman provides comprehensive family eye care and the medical management of eye disease, with extensive experience in contact lens fitting and in the pre- and post-operative care of patients undergoing laser refractive and other ophthalmic surgical procedures. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Virginia Optometric Association, and the Northern Virginia Optometric Society. His approach centers on building lasting relationships and helping each patient understand their eyes and their options, not just their prescription.
