Professional Excellence

Dr. Tailor earned a Bachelor of Science in biology and went on to the Doctor of Optometry program at Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University. Rotations during that program placed Dr. Tailor in low vision and contact lens clinics, then in primary eye care and ocular disease services. Dry eye and the rest of the anterior segment drew the closest study during those years, and that grounding carries into how Dr. Tailor examines patients now.

Clinical Focus

A typical day runs on eye examinations, both routine and medical, with contact lens fittings worked in around them. When a conventional lens will not correct or seat well, Dr. Tailor fits specialty contact lenses instead. Ordinary visits also include a look for dry eye and other trouble on the front surface of the eye.

Deena Tailor, O.D. is an optometrist who provides routine and medical eye care, specialty contact lens fittings, and refractive surgery co-management, and who completed a Certification of Advanced Studies in Anterior Segment Disease during optometry training.

He did my Lasik surgery 20 years ago, treated my extremely dry eye issues, took care of my eyeglass prescriptions, did both of my cataract surgeries, and today surgically removed a calcification from my lower eyelid. He is an excellent doctor in every way (kind, patient, great listener, etc.). Staff are always kind and professional I absolutely recommend Dr. Reisner and The Eye Center.
