Dr. Reisner earned a bachelor's degree at the University of Connecticut, then pursued two doctoral degrees in eye care, first a Doctor of Optometry at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and later a Doctor of Medicine at the University of Connecticut. An internship in internal medicine preceded residency training in ophthalmology at Georgetown University Medical Center, completed in 1999. This combination of optometric and medical education gives Dr. Reisner an unusually broad foundation across the vision and surgical sides of eye care. Across more than twenty years of practice, the work has settled around cataract and refractive surgery, alongside the medical and surgical management of glaucoma and other conditions.
