Chanpreet Kataria, O.D., is an optometrist who earned her Doctor of Optometry degree with clinical honors from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia and completed a residency in ocular disease, low vision, and vision therapy at the Northport VA Medical Center on Long Island. She provides comprehensive eye care, contact lens fittings, ocular disease management, and pre- and post-operative refractive and cataract surgery care at The Eye Center's Sterling, Virginia office. Dr. Kataria grew up on Long Island, New York, and graduated cum laude from CUNY Brooklyn College with a double major in biology and psychology. She continued her postgraduate education at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, where she earned her Doctor of Optometry degree with clinical honors. Her clinical internships spanned military and Veterans Affairs settings, including Keller Memorial Hospital at West Point Military Academy, the Northport VA hospital, the Brooklyn/St. Albans VA hospital, The Eye Institute, and EyeRx, building broad exposure to both hospital-based and outpatient care. She then returned to the Northport VA hospital on Long Island to complete a residency in ocular disease, low vision, and vision therapy.
